A graduate of Middlesex University London where she specialised in directing VR content, Emma worked with VR filmmaker Mathieu Pradat on The Roaming (VRHAM! / Venice 75) before joining DVgroup in 2018. As a producer of original content, Emma works directly with DV’s most ambitious narrative XR pieces, with the aim of developing the emerging medium of Immersive XR Theatre into a sustainable LBE format.

Using two of DVgroup‘s pioneering experiences as case studies (Alice, The Virtual Reality Play and The Horrifically Real Virtuality), Emma will cover key elements that made each successful, explaining how the blend of immersive theatre and XR technologies can harmonise to create great storytelling potential and captivate audiences, while touching on the various obstacles that accompany such a challenging genre.
